Sevastopol student teams launched the anniversary “Victory Landing”

The annual patriotic event “Victory Landing” has started at the resource center for volunteer support. 2024 is an anniversary year for the campaign; this year “Victory Landing” turned five years old. 100 representatives of student Governor’s school labor groups took part in the action. By the way, this year schoolchildren are participating in the event for the first time.

“Victory Landing” is an opportunity for our youth to touch the great history with their own hands: to put in order the memorials and monuments of the Great Patriotic War. Today, student fighters united to contribute to the common cause and prepare the city for the celebration of Victory Day– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the youth affairs department Marina Slonchenko.

The participants are divided into five detachments, which over the course of a week will put in order five memorable places: the 5th mortar battery, the 7th mortar battery, the 15th coastal battery, Fort South and Fort North. On the first day, the guys cleared the territory of the 15th coastal battery: they collected 20 bags of garbage, cleared the stairs from the ground and trimmed the trees.

Sevastopol is the patriotic capital of Russia, and the attitude of our youth towards such events is special: we always receive a great positive response from the guys who not only honor history, but also strive to contribute to the preservation of historical memory and the exploits of Sevastopol residents in the Great Patriotic War– notes Denis Kondratiev, deputy chairman of the Public Chamber of the city of Sevastopol, founder of student groups of Sevastopol.

The campaign is being implemented with the support of the Youth Affairs Department, as well as thanks to the victory in the “Region of Good Deeds” competition.
