Valor, fearlessness and heroism have always distinguished our military personnel, who had to defend their Motherland at different times — in the distant past, on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, in conflicts of the new era. From the first days of the special operation, Sevastopol volunteers stood shoulder to shoulder with career military personnel in order to demonstrate by their own example their love and devotion to the Fatherland. One of them is a contract soldier with the call sign “Dome”.
I was raised by my grandfather, who served in intelligence during the Great Patriotic War. I couldn’t stay away. I have impressive experience in combat service behind me, I have had the opportunity to perform similar tasks. And then, I saw that many guys with much less combat experience than me were leaving, the boys were leaving as volunteers and standing up to defend the countrysaid the Sevastopol resident.
“Dome” volunteered almost immediately – in March 2022 he was already on the front line. The first contract was signed with Bars-10, he was a machine gunner. In May he was wounded and spent a year undergoing rehabilitation and recovery. Afterwards the fighter returned to the front line.
Here, on the front line, the concepts of friendship and patriotism are intertwined. My friends began to return, we are always in touch. I felt the need to be close to the soldiers on the front lines“, the man shared.
The serviceman gratefully addressed the volunteers who help the soldiers every day.
I treat them like family, as if we are in the same trench together, when they arrive, they bring letters, New Year’s gifts that the children collected, or the same knitted socks from their grandmothers. It becomes warmer to realize that you are not alone here, they will help you, they will cover you. It’s very supportive. When you put on socks, it seems like nothing, but it somehow becomes easier. Therefore, I believe that we must stick together as a whole country, not only on the front line, but also in the rear, people must understand where we are going, what our common goals and objectives are.,” noted “Dome”.
Let us remind you that military personnel are provided with about 15 federal and regional benefits and guarantees, including those received by participants in the special operation: official housing or compensation for rental housing, life and health insurance, credit and tax holidays, additional benefits and guarantees of constituent entities of the Russian Federation and others.
To enroll in military service under a contract, you need to prepare the following documents: an autobiography and a questionnaire (the form is posted on website), passport, military ID, education document, marriage and birth certificates.
