Sevastopol Wineries Enter New Business Tourism Award Nomination
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The leading Russian award for the best companies in the business tourism sector reveals new trends in supply and demand in the event and business tourism industry. This year, in partnership with the Wine Roads of Russia project, the award organizers created a new nomination for wine tourism facilities: «Best Event Venue: Wine Culture Facilities». It included 18 wineries in Russia, including «Usadba Perovskikh» and «Zolotaya Balka», whose vineyards are located in a unique terroir — the Sevastopol wine-making zone.
This is recognition of the role of modern winemaking in shaping the tourist attractiveness of the south of Russia and a great opportunity for Russian wineries to make a name for themselves in the business travel industry and draw attention to the development of winemaking culture in Russia.— emphasized Elena Porman, member of the expert council of the State Duma Committee on Tourism and Development of Tourism Infrastructure, coordinator of the Wine Roads of Russia project.

The fact that Sevastopol farms are represented in this nomination once again speaks of the development of the wine industry and wine tourism in the region. Of course, this is one of the tasks of our city’s priority project «Terroir Sevastopol», the implementation of which involves both the development of large farms in the region and the formation of several dozen full-cycle original wineries. Over the entire period, more than 450 jobs have been created within the framework of the project, and its participants have received more than 200 thousand tourists.— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Deputy Governor of Sevastopol Maria Litovko.
It should be noted that the implementation of the regional priority project «Terroir Sevastopol» is carried out on the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The project is expanding every year, accepting new participants — today it includes 42 viticulture and winemaking enterprises of Sevastopol.
