In Rostov-on-Don, the regular in-person finals of the fifth competition “Leaders of Russia” — the flagship project of the presidential platform “Russia — the Land of Opportunities” — ended. The winners were 22 managers of the Southern Federal District and 6 representatives of new constituent entities of the Russian Federation. All of them will be able to take part in the anniversary super final in February 2024.
Among the winners is Ivan Glazunov from Sevastopol. He is participating in the competition for the second time. Since 2021, Ivan has worked at Sevastopol State University as vice-rector for construction and campus development, and before that he held the position of first deputy head of the department of construction, housing and communal services, energy and transport in the city of Naryan-Mar, Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
I was very skeptical about the success of the presidential platform “Russia – the Land of Opportunities” at the “Leaders of Russia” competition, and, of course, the victory came as a certain surprise to me. I am participating in this season of the competition because I wanted to test myself; last season I did not reach the finals. And this year everything worked out,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Ivan Glazunov.
In total, almost 12.5 thousand applications from the Southern Federal District and more than 1.5 thousand applications from new regions of the Russian Federation were submitted for participation in the fifth season.
The finals of the anniversary competition “Leaders of Russia” were completed in six federal districts: Northwestern, Siberian, Ural, Far Eastern, Volga, and North Caucasus. After Rostov-on-Don (Southern Federal District and new regions of the Russian Federation), face-to-face testing will continue in Moscow: on December 6-10, foreign participants will take part in assessment events at the same site with managers of the Central Federal District.
Based on the results of all district finals, 300 super finalists for the fifth season will be determined. The names of the winners of the anniversary management competition “Leaders of Russia” will become known in February 2024.
Let us remind you that the leadership competition “Leaders of Russia” has been held since 2017 on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation. The fifth season of the project started in April 2023. Over the entire period, more than one million applications from 150 countries have been submitted to participate in the competition.
