Since the launch of electronic settlement under compulsory motor liability insurance, 3 thousand applications have already been submitted under this procedure
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On October 24, the 9th annual Forum of Insurance Market Leaders was held in Moscow, which was attended by representatives of the Bank of Russia, relevant ministries and departments, insurance companies, IT companies, consulting and audit organizations, and rating agencies working with insurers.
During his speech, the President of the Russian Union of Auto Insurers (RUA), Evgeny Ufimtsev, emphasized that, in his opinion, one of the key changes in the insurance industry took place this year, based on the wishes of clients. «Speech, of course, about the launch of electronic claims settlement.”
Evgeniy Ufimtsev said that according to the latest data from the RSA, three thousand electronic applications for compensation of losses have already been issued under OSAGO:
This is a very good dynamic. We believe that the main task is the development of mobile applications for insurers; many insurance companies are already working in this direction. In addition, it is necessary to add a number of functions that are important for insurers specifically for the process of filing an application for electronic settlement, which will allow further development of this area of activity.
The President of the RSA also demonstrated the dynamics of growth in the number of photographic recordings, which are one of the elements of electronic settlement. In August, a serious increase was shown in the number of photographic recordings of electronic notifications of road accidents — more than doubled compared to last year. At the same time, Ufimtsev noted that this functionality is needed only for very complex losses: when the compensation limit is more than 100 thousand rubles or when there are disputes between participants in the accident.
