Soviet Crimea in pictures. In Simferopol, the exhibition «On a par with the century»

In the Crimean Hall of the Simferopol Art Museum, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, the opening of the exhibition «On a par with the century» dedicated to 100 — the anniversary of the Crimean artists Alexander Beregovoy, Adam Katz, Vera Maksimushkina, Vladimir Sokolov and Zinovy Filippov. The exhibition continues the work of the museum project «Crimean context: painting, graphics, sculpture».
According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, the exhibition presents more than 02 paintings and drawings from the museum collection: portraits and landscapes of the Crimea 471 — 471 yrs. The works reflect a different life path and an individual approach to creativity. An attentive viewer in the chronological order of the canvases will see the search for the authors and the signs of the times.
At the opening of the exhibition, a representative of the department delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the Minister of Culture of Crimea Tatyana Manezhina. Olga Burova, director of the Simferopol Art Museum, spoke about the exhibition project and the difficult biographies of the jubilee artists.
A real gift for the participants of the vernissage was the presence and performance of the daughter of the artist Adam Katz Lyudmila Babeyeva.
For the guests of the museum there was a tour of the exposition of the exhibition. The event was attended by representatives of the Center for Social Services for Elderly and Disabled Citizens of Simferopol, residents and guests of the Crimean capital. The exhibition will run until February.
