Sowing of early potatoes in the open field started in Crimea

Crimean farmers have started sowing early potatoes in the open field. More than 200 hectares of fields have already been sown with this crop in the republic.
The sown area at the moment is twice as much as in the same period last year. Our farmers are now planting the most delicious, in demand on the Crimean market, which, one might say, have won the hearts of many amateur gardeners and professional vegetable growers. These are Colombo, Riviera, Early Zhukovsky, Luck, Nevsky, Rozana and Gala. In total, potatoes are planned to be planted on about 3.6 thousand hectares this year.— quotes the press service of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Andrei Savchuk.
Andrey Savchuk also noted that the traditional leading regions for the production of this crop are Dzhankoysky, Krasnoperekopsky, Krasnogvardeisky and Pervomaisky regions. And he recalled that last year the agricultural enterprises of the republic harvested almost 77 thousand tons of potatoes.
