Spartakiad of schoolchildren starts in Sevastopol

On September 9, Sevastopol will host the “First in Sports” holiday dedicated to the opening of the citywide Spartakiad for schoolchildren of the 2023-2024 academic year. The event is part of the regional project «Sport is the norm of life» of the national project «Demography», its goal is to attract students of general educational institutions of Sevastopol to systematic physical education and sports.

The Spartakiad of schoolchildren includes 12 types of physical culture and sports events, each of which is a separate all-Russian project. Most of them are multi-stage, some are qualifying. The main goal is to form national teams, identify the best athletes and send them to all-Russian competitions— noted in the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.

School organizations participate in at least eight types of programs, four of which are compulsory and four are optional.

Mandatory types include:

  • All-Russian sports games for schoolchildren «Presidential sports games»;
  • All-Russian competitions for schoolchildren «Presidential competitions»;
  • festival of the TRP complex among educational institutions;
  • All-Russian sports games of school sports clubs.

Rating points are awarded for participation in school stages, and the results are summed up at the end of the year.

More than a thousand students of educational organizations of Sevastopol will become participants in the events.

Already on September 15, the school stage of the Presidential competitions and Presidential sports games, as well as the All-Russian sports games of school sports clubs, will start.
