Spring has finally come to Crimea: tulips have bloomed in the KFU Botanical Garden
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Botanical Garden named after N. V. Bagrov of the Crimean Federal University, tulips began to bloom. The first to bloom were early Darwin hybrids, which had a bright yellow color.
Tulips are the pearl of our collection, and soon we will witness more flowering of their types. Due to the peculiarities of the weather and low temperatures last week, the early varieties were a little delayed, but if the heat lasts for at least two more days, then we will see a real riot of colors , — the press service of the university quotes a senior researcher of the Botanical Garden KFU Larisa Reshetnikova.
The collection of tulips of the KFU Botanical Garden has more than species, including Foster tulips, Greig tulips, fringed, lily-colored , peony and Darwin hybrids.
Mass flowering of tulips this year will fall on the third decade of April.
