CrimeaPRESS reports:
On November 30 in Crimea, at the Academy of Creative Industries «Meganom» (project «Tavrida.ART»), the full-time stage of the educational program «Street Theater» ended. Over the course of two weeks, directors, managers, artists and organizers of street theater festivals improved skills that will further allow them to develop street theaters in their regions. Among the program participants is the Myagky Sign theater from Sevastopol.
Training in the Street Theater program began online in September and will continue in December after completing the in-person module. Participants — 37 representatives of street theaters from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Arkhangelsk, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Tomsk, Vologda regions, the Republics of Tatarstan and Karelia, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
The “Soft Sign” Street Theater from Sevastopol, which was created in 2015, took part in the program. The main goal of the team is to talk about important. The founders of the team are professional actors and directors, ready for constant experimentation and search. The troupe employs young and talented artists of the synthetic genre. Theater performances are performed in any open space of the city, where the street is often the scenery, and the audience is a full participant in the action.
The educational program improves the competencies of participants and teams. Gives them the opportunity to communicate with professionals not only in the person of experts, but also colleagues, and has a unifying effect on community. Each participant — expert! And this mutual pollination will bear fruit! — says artist and head of the street theater troupe “Soft Sign” Evgeny Pavlov.
The educational program “Street Theater” is held at the Academy of Creative Industries “Meganom” within the framework of the “entertainment arts” direction. The program is aimed at training street theater workers in current professional skills of classical and modern drama, searching for plastic and sound solutions, and creating a literary basis for the performance. Students will also understand the specifics of theater management, learn how to build its brand and develop the theater by attracting grant funds.
