The best guides were awarded in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On World Tour Guide Day (February 21), Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko awarded 29 of the most prominent representatives of the field from all over the peninsula — tour guides, guide-interpreters and museum researchers who are popular in Crimea.
The best Crimean guides (according to the results of last year) from Simferopol, Alushta, Feodosia, Sudak, Evpatoria, Sak, Kerch, Leninsky, Belogorsky and Bakhchisarai regions were awarded with diplomas of the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea in honor of the World Guide Day.
Presenting the certificates, Vadim Volchenko noted that 2022 brought long-awaited changes to the legal regulation of the activities of tour guides and guide-interpreters — mandatory certification will protect the interests and safety of consumers of tourist services and create conditions for transparent and civilized activity, for which market professionals have long advocated.
The Republic of Crimea leads among the regions of the Russian Federation in terms of the number of certified guides (guides) and guide-interpreters. To date, more than 160 guides have passed the mandatory certification exams under the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism. We are grateful to you for such activity, your work has created the foundation for building modern standards for excursion activities.— stressed the Crimean minister.
It is necessary to pass certification before July 1, 2023. To do this, you need to submit an application through the State Services, then pass testing and practical tasks before the certification commission at the Ministry of Resorts of the Republic of Crimea. If the qualification exam is passed successfully, the guide is entered in the register of guides, receives a certificate, an attestation badge, and can officially continue to work in his region.
