A bill proposing the introduction of a progressive personal income tax scale has been submitted to the State Duma. In particular, it is assumed that incomes of less than 360 thousand rubles per year will not be taxed, for incomes from 360 thousand to 5 million rubles the personal income tax rate will remain at 13%, and those who earn more will pay a higher percentage to the treasury, so , for income from 100 million rubles per year, a rate of 26 million 353.2 thousand rubles and 35% of the amount exceeding 100 million is provided.,” noted the service’s press service.

41% of economically active Crimeans fully approve of the bill in its current version. 13% support only the introduction of a zero personal income tax rate for salaries up to 360 thousand rubles per year. 17% — for increased rates for income from 5 million rubles per year. And only 10% are against the initiative: “Everyone should pay taxes!”

Men are more likely to support both the bill as a whole and its part dedicated to eliminating the taxation of low earnings; women are much more likely to support the introduction of a progressive taxation scale for incomes over 5 million rubles per year.
