The Black Sea Fleet continues measures to prevent COVID-19 diseases
More than 16 thousand military personnel of the Black Sea Fleet and members of their families were revaccinated against COVID-19 who completed the full course of vaccination before August 1 2021 of the year. Also, civilian personnel of the fleet, students and teaching staff of military educational institutions of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Crimea are undergoing revaccination.
Vaccination is carried out on the basis of branches of the naval clinical hospital and medical units of formations and military units of the fleet. Vaccination in the fleet is carried out with the domestic drug Gam-COVID-Vak (Sputnik V) on a voluntary basis and after the vaccinated person signs the consent to the introduction of the components of the drug , the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
In addition, the aviation units of the district and the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet stationed on the peninsula have formed the necessary supply of liquid oxygen in case of assistance to medical institutions in Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea that treat patients from the effects of coronavirus infection.
