The consolidated budget of the Republic of Crimea for 2023 was executed at the highest level in 5 years. This was stated at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Crimea by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko.

The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that the revenue side of the Crimean budget as a whole, including targeted funds, was fulfilled by 107.8%, or 322 billion rubles. (for 2019 — 98.1%, or 192.7 billion rubles), expenses — by 321.7 billion rubles, or 99.1% (2019 — 94.6%, or 192.4 billion rubles .), that is, the increase in income and expenses over 5 years amounted to more than 129 billion rubles.

At the end of 2023, a set of measures taken by the Crimean government to mobilize the republic’s own revenues made it possible to ensure positive dynamics of financial indicators and stable execution of budgets at all levels,” emphasized Irina Kiviko.

As the chief financier of Crimea said, during the board meeting the conversation was about the implementation of the budget of the Republic of Crimea for 2023, including the results of the work of municipalities of the Republic of Crimea to increase their own revenue base, and the tasks facing the main managers of budget funds and municipalities together with the tax service taking into account the emerging realities for the current year.

Thanks to teamwork, the absence of overdue accounts payable was ensured, and all social obligations undertaken in the republic last year were fulfilled in full,” noted Irina Kiviko.

Along with summing up the implementation of the Crimean budget 2023, special attention at the meeting was paid to the tasks facing the main managers of budget funds and municipalities together with the tax service until the end of this year, primarily regarding unused reserves to increase their own budget revenue base.

The most important thing is to increase tax and non-tax revenues, which will allow us to direct additional financial resources to resolve issues related to the socio-economic development of the region. We all must try very hard to fulfill our plans for the benefit of our Republic,” summed up Irina Kiviko.
