Last night, it became known about the death of Andrei Maslov, a Sevastopol director, writer … And then you can list a lot of whom. After all, he systematically built himself outside the system throughout his short life. He received an excellent education as a doctor and showed himself in this field in all its glory, they still remember Maslov the resuscitator. Suddenly, there is a sharp turn and Maslov is already running around with fellow television workers (this is just the beginning, the dawn of the future of Sevastopol television) around the city, either shooting stories, or films about doctors, patients, life and death. TV lined up in a system, and the freelance artist Maslov goes (flies) along his own path: either organizing advertising festivals (!) or shooting clips. And then the theater entered his life. But again, not a system where “everything starts with a hanger”, but a crazy project “Psycho Del ART”, with amateurs who challenged professionals.

It was his cross: plays, readings, performances, actors, successes, shall we say, failures, festivals, receptions… Bohemia? Bohemians have no time for life, and certainly not for realities, and Andrei (for all his recklessness) had a very firmly expressed civic position. Was a citizen. He did not tolerate lies and half-truths. In an argument, he could endure, even nod, grinning with Maslov’s trademark crooked smile — and then suddenly: “You know old man…«. And the mother of a talkative interlocutor, but with a clearly defined what is “good”, what is “bad”. He thought that all the transformations in Chersonese were “bad,” and he lived with that, fought. They told him, “you are Don Quixote”, “you can’t break all windmills”, but he didn’t break them, but grinded them. And this was also a rebellion of the Creator before the System.

At the same time, Andrei, of course, was not a “social icon”. He simply lived in his own way, in his own world, at his own speeds, in his own coordinates. And he changed official work not because of quarrelsomeness, but because of disagreements between external order and internal world order, boyish, sonorous, honest, creative. Obituaries are not needed now … It’s just that everyone who knew Andrei Nikolayevich has his own story associated with him. Let’s remember … I also remember now, and it’s very hard to write further, honestly. Farewell, Maslov. All disputes (started back in «Shokoladka») will be settled later, at a meeting …
