The Crimean Agricultural Research Institute will cooperate in the framework of scientific work with the Eurasian Economic Community countries
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Over the past five years, the Crimean Research Institute of Agriculture has been actively developing scientific and technical cooperation with scientific and scientific and technical organizations of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic), as well as China, Tajikistan, Bulgaria and others. The goal of cooperation is to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation in various areas of agriculture, but the priority is to develop cooperation in the areas of selection, cultivation and processing of essential oil and medicinal plants, as a basis for the development of medicine, pharmaceutical, perfumery, cosmetics, food and other industries.
According to Pashtetskiy, the institute had previously given Chinese scientists collection and selection samples of essential oil crops, which they planted on an experimental plot. Currently, samples of coriander are in the flowering stage, after which specialists will evaluate the harvest and its main indicators — the content and component composition of essential oil. Clary sage is a biennial crop — it is now in its first year of vegetation, its flowering will occur later, after which Chinese scientists will begin studying this harvest.
In cooperation with Belarus, the institute is engaged in joint training of highly qualified scientific personnel and the integration of science into practice.
In particular, Crimean scientists conduct joint research work with specialists from Kyrgyzstan and collaborate in the field of using essential oil and medicinal plants.
