The Crimean authorities are concerned about food prices, in particular chicken meat

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Crimean authorities have finally noticed the trend of rising prices… for everything. It’s a bit late, but we noticed (although, I think, another wave of price increases due to fuel and lubricants and logistics is ahead). However, as the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov reported today, the republican Council of Ministers is monitoring prices for food products, in particular chicken meat, in the main retail chains of Crimea.

I believe that the price increase is mostly speculative. In this regard, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, Yuri Mikhailovich Gotsanyuk, went to inspect retail chains. In turn, the Ministry of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea will soon conduct an analysis of the activities of commodity producers and suppliers noticed in the biased increase in food prices,” Aksyonov noted.

No sooner said than done. Yuri Gotsanyuk went personally to check the retail chains. The conclusions are quite optimistic.

In some stores, such as “PUD” and “Yabloko”, the recommended prices are generally observed, for example, borscht set vegetables can be purchased from 25 rubles/kg, sugar from 66 rubles/kg, sunflower oil from 120 rubles/l, bread from 26 rubles/unit, milk 2.5% fat from a local producer from 79 rubles/l, boiled sausage from 360 rubles/kg, except that in the PUD retail chain the price for chicken meat (carcass) was overpriced. Already today, as a result of the work carried out by the Government, the price of a chicken carcass has been reduced by more than 17% — from 249 rubles/kg to 207 rubles/kg, and in some chain stores up to 200 rubles/kg, and chicken fillet — no more than 440 rubles,” said Yuri Gotsanyuk.

According to the Prime Minister of Crimea, following a visit to other retail outlets, such as the Korzina chain store, as well as markets, inflated prices were identified; a meeting will be held tomorrow to discuss pricing issues and stabilization of this situation.

So, what caused such a rise in prices? In particular, for chicken meat? The Ministry of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea knows the answer, but you won’t like it.

According to official information from the main supplier of products, a significant increase in the cost of poultry meat in the Republic of Crimea was influenced by a number of factors. Among them are the growth of transport services and the growth of tariffs for electricity, fuel and lubricants.noted the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Crimea.

It’s clear? And there is nothing to complain about the size of your salaries; there is no growth (well, certainly enough to catch up with almost 100% of chicken prices). We almost forgot about the request of the ministry:

In case of facts of unjustified increase in prices for poultry meat, you can contact the Crimean OFAS Russia: Simferopol, st. Alexandra Nevskogo, 1, phone: 54-42-91, +7 (985) 970-77-60, +7 (3652) 54-46-38, E-mail: to82@fas.gov.ru or at Hotline telephone number of the Ministry of Industry of Crimea: + 7978 0000855 (WhatsApp, Telegram and Viber) indicating the address of the retail facility.
