An electric truck has been developed in Crimea and is awaiting a grant for mass production.

The Simferopol enterprise Eltavr, which has been producing electric vehicles and municipal equipment for Crimea and mainland Russia since 2014, announced the development of a new truck with an electric motor for public roads.

For the last two months we have been developing a new electric car. Our flagship will be able to carry two passengers and cargo weighing 1.5 tons. Power reserve – up to 200 km in the city. With the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, we were able to purchase high-quality equipment that helps us produce soft curtains for stagecoaches, and we also received equipment for the production of battery packs. Our enterprise is unique in that we have a full production cycle; we independently create cars from the manufacture of the frame to the rewinding of the electric motor.,” explained Vladimir Shulikov.

The company expects to build and certify the newest electric truck next year after receiving a government grant.

The electric vehicles of NPP «ELTAVR» are equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries made in Russia.

This year (at the end of November), the electric truck of the Eltavr Research and Production Enterprise became the flagship of the Crimean stand at the Russian Industrialist forum and exhibition in St. Petersburg.
