The Crimean police summed up the results of the operational and preventive event under the code name “Car”, which was carried out from October 9 to October 13. As the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea reported, during the operation, 2 criminal cases were opened on the territory of the Republic on the facts of theft: on the fact of the theft of a vehicle and the destruction of the vehicle identification number. 5 crimes were solved, for which 5 persons were detained. The personnel checked 215 vehicles.
Based on the results of the operational and preventive measures, employees of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Crimea identified 2 vehicles that were wanted, 13 vehicles that were operated with body markings showing signs of change, 5 vehicles with engines whose license plates were destroyed, and the drivers of 5 vehicles were detained. who presented for verification driver’s licenses with signs of forgery, 2 drivers who presented for verification an insurance policy with signs of forgery, 1 car with a forged sales contract.
In total, during the event, 541 vehicle storage places were inspected, including 77 parking lots, 101 garage-building cooperatives, 33 road repair construction departments and construction organizations, 190 vehicle service stations, 126 auto shops, 14 car dismantling yards.says the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
In addition, persons previously convicted of committing crimes related to the unlawful taking of vehicles, their parts, as well as those detained on suspicion of committing unlawful taking of vehicles and counterfeiting, concealing, changing or destroying their markings, were checked for involvement in unsolved crimes .
