The culprit of an accident in the Simferopol region, in which two people died, will appear in court

In the Simferopol region, the driver will appear in court on charges of committing an accident in which two passengers died. A 21-year-old guy is accused under paragraph “b” of Part 6 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death of two persons through negligence, associated with leaving the scene of the accident).
According to the pre-trial investigation authorities, in early October 2023, the young man was driving a Skoda car and carrying 5 passengers at night. Moving along the Tavrida highway at a speed of 170 km/h, in the area of the village of Levadki, Simferopol region, when making a right turn, the accused lost control of the car, allowing it to overturn.
After the traffic accident, the accused fled, but his location was quickly established by internal affairs officers. As a result of the accident, two passengers of the Skoda car died from their injuries— reported the prosecutor’s office.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Simferopol District Court for consideration on the merits.
