In Simferopol, on the first day of the environmental campaign “Yolkovorot” alone, more than 200 Christmas trees, pines and coniferous New Year trees were collected for further processing. Project curator Veronika Belyakova spoke about this.
The entire volume of collected trees will be sent for processing. This is useful because such a valuable resource as pine needles can be reused. Proper recycling also has a beneficial effect on the environment. It is not polluted with harmful gas — methane, which is formed during the rotting of coniferous treesshe explained.
Recycled New Year’s trees can become essential oils and hydrosols, environmental fertilizers and compost, mulch and can serve as feed or bedding for animals.
The promotion will continue. In Simferopol on January 21 and 28 from 11:00 to 15:00 there will be 20 points for receiving coniferous trees. The main requirement is that the plant must be cleared of decorations, garlands, polyethylene and nails.
