The exhibition “On Guard of Peace”, dedicated to the events of the Northern Military District, is presented in Livadia

Paintings from the collections of the Livadia Palace Museum and photographs by correspondent Konstantin Mikhalchevsky are exhibited.
In the exhibition halls of the House of Baron Fredericks in Livadia, the exhibition “Guardian of Peace” is presented, dedicated to the events of the special military operation.
As the organizers note, the goal of the project is to attract the attention of visitors to the historical continuity of the concept of “Defender of the Fatherland” based on the material of different eras “From great-grandfather and grandfather to grandson,” as well as updating the theme of courage and steadfastness of the Russian spirit.
The exhibition presents paintings from the collections of the Livadia Palace Museum, painted by Soviet artists in the post-war period (1970s — 1980s) and dedicated to episodes of the Great Patriotic War and its participants. Complementing the storyline of the exhibition and drawing a parallel between the defenders of the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) and the participants of the North Military District, the exhibition halls present photographic materials taken in the special operation zone (February — December 2022) and provided by RIA Novosti’s own photo correspondent for the Republic Crimea and the city of Sevastopol by Konstantin Mikhalchevskyreports the press service of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.
The exhibition can be visited until March 1, 2024 as part of a sightseeing tour of the Livadia Palace.
