The first DobroCenter “Young at Heart” was opened in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Today, on the basis of the public organization “Sevastopol Mothers”, a center for social development was inaugurated — the DobroCenter “Young at Heart”. It is located at st. Lenina, 18. Now the team of social activists and silver volunteers have even more opportunities to implement their good initiatives. The event was attended by representatives of the Government of Sevastopol, the city’s Public Chamber, socio-cultural institutions and the volunteer community.

It’s great that the “Young at Heart” initiative, since 2021, when it was formed, has grown into such a significant event as the opening of the DobroCenter in the city. Today, our public organizations are working to ensure that similar centers are opened in other areas of the city so that Sevastopol residents can come and take part in volunteer activities. The Department of Internal Policy, for its part, will continue to support non-profit organizations in creating such centers. I thank the organizers for your activity and fruitful work! Good luck! — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Policy Alexey Goncharov.

According to the head of the DobroCenter, Tatyana Kurteva, its main task is to support socially useful projects, involve the older generation in volunteer and charitable activities, and popularize active longevity.

This is a place where any Sevastopol resident, regardless of whether he is part of some organization or on his own, working or unemployed, can come for assistance in the implementation of his projects, desires and initiatives. We plan to activate and involve residents of our city aged 55+, who may not be so confident in their abilities, are overly modest or underestimate themselves, but can share their experience and knowledge. We are also looking for people who are ready to learn something new. We unite them, teach them, advise them, guide themnotes Tatyana Kurteva.

The head of the DobroCenter invited all like-minded people to cooperate.

Let us remind you that following the results of the State Council meeting on the implementation of youth policy, which took place in December last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the creation of social development centers in all populated areas of the country.
