The head of Crimea praised the implementation of the “Old Town” project in Alupka

The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, together with the Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia PJSC German Gref, inspected the historical part of Alupka after reconstruction. The implementation of the “Old Town” project with federal funds in the amount of 250 million rubles became possible thanks to the victory in the All-Russian competition for the best projects of the city center tourist code, organized as part of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”. The project was carried out in 2023-2024 and involved both the reconstruction of tourist display objects and their integration into a single architectural and cultural space.
During the reconstruction, work was carried out on laying paving stones, laying water supply and sewerage pipes, and laying electrical cables underground. In addition, a stage was installed, seating areas were placed around the entire perimeter, benches were installed, street lights were replaced and restored, landscaping was done, and much more. The drinking fountain from 1847 has been returned to its historical location on Amet-Khan Sultan Street.— reported the republican government.
According to Sergei Aksenov, the reconstruction will emphasize the historical value of Alupka.
