The Kremlin did not comment on the data on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on the Caesar Kunikov large landing ship in the Black Sea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Russian Ministry of Defense is silent.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the information about the alleged attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the large landing ship (LHD) Caesar Kunikov in the Black Sea.
This is, after all, directly related to the progress of the special military operation. Accordingly, this is the exclusive prerogative of the Ministry of DefensePeskov said.
He suggested that journalists rely on the statements of their military colleagues.
I can’t say anything about this— quotes Peskov TASS.
Earlier, Ukrainian media and a number of Telegram channels reported about the attack on the large landing ship. But… Let us emphasize: information about the strike on the ship has not been officially confirmed.
The large landing ship Caesar Kunikov (Project 775) was built in Poland and launched in 1986. Joined the 197th landing ship brigade in 1989… The last message about the ship on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defense dates back to June 15, 2023 — then the crews of the large landing ships Yamal, Caesar Kunikov and Orsk took part in the test tactical exercise formations of landing ships in sea ranges in the Black Sea.
We hope that “nothing like that” happened, that official and reliable information from the Russian Ministry of Defense is disseminated, and that even if a strike was struck, the Caesar Kunikov BDK will remain in service. We also hope that everyone is alive.
PS. There is still something in the historical magic of numbers and dates. Hero of the USSR Caesar Kunikov died from his wounds on February 14 (1943).
