The lawyer of the bar association of the Republic of Crimea was detained. What did he do — the version of the investigation
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The head of the Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, based on the results of special measures carried out by the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, initiated a criminal case against a lawyer from the bar of the Republic of Crimea and his friend. The investigating authorities charge them with fraud committed as part of a group of persons on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigator of the Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases established that a married couple from the Dzhankoy district turned to a lawyer of the Crimean Central Bar Association for legal assistance. The lawyer, together with his friend, having developed a plan, told the clients false information that after the appearance of the spouse to the investigator, he would be detained and a measure of restraint in the form of detention would be chosen for him. To avoid these circumstances, they offered to issue a sick leave to the man, demanding 38 thousand rubles, and also to hide from the investigation until they resolve the issue with criminal prosecution.— reported in the Sledkom.
Subsequently, the accomplices received more than 1.8 million rubles from the spouses and their relatives, which, as the lawyer and his friend said, would be used to stop criminal prosecution, to register the disability of the person involved in the case, to change the qualification of criminal acts, to stop searches, operational-search activities and searching for a suspect.
At the same time, the lawyer and his friend did not plan to fulfill their obligations, they could not influence these circumstances.
The criminal actions of the accomplices were suppressed by operational officers of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Under the weight of the evidence presented, both suspects pleaded guilty to the crime in full. They were charged under the above article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation— noted in the Sledkom.
The investigator of the Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases, in cooperation with colleagues from the FSB, continues to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
