The Ministry of Emergency Situations again warns about bad weather in Crimea. Storm warning announced

CrimeaPRESS reports:

It will be windy.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has issued a storm warning about adverse hydrometeorological phenomena in Crimea for December 1–3. It is reported that on the afternoon of Friday, December 1, as well as on the weekend on the peninsula, the southwest wind is expected to increase to 15-20 m/s, and in some places up to 25 m/s.

Under these conditions, there is a high probability of emergencies caused by accidents at energy facilities, housing and communal services, possible disruption of transport communications, and obstruction of vehicle traffic on roads, especially in areas of mountain passes. There is a threat to the life and health of the population due to the possible fall of billboards, weakly reinforced structures, trees and possible broken power linesthe emergency department said in a statement.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea recommends following safety measures:

— citizens need to exercise extreme caution and not go into mountainous and forested areas;

— refrain from going to the sea and inland waters;

— do not go to embankments and bank protection structures;

— when on the street, pay attention to the integrity of overhead power lines, contact networks of electric vehicles and tree branches;

— do not stay or park vehicles near billboards, weakly reinforced structures, power lines and trees;

— drivers of vehicles, if it is impossible to limit travel, be extremely careful on the road, do not exceed the speed limit and strictly follow the traffic rules.

In bad weather, pay special attention to the safety of children and the elderly, and be attentive to others.

In case of emergency, you must call: “112” — a single rescue phone.
