The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Crimea warns: scammers, be careful!
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Crimean police officers urge citizens to be vigilant when performing actions with bank cards and follow simple security rules so as not to become a victim of fraudulent activities.
You must be extremely careful when communicating with strangers on the phone! Under no circumstances disclose your personal data, as well as your bank card details, to strangers. Fraudsters use modern data spoofing technologies, simulating calls from numbers assigned to banks or law enforcement agencies. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Crimea recommends not to carry out any financial transactions following instructions from unknown persons,” noted the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
Do not provide your bank card details, PIN code, CVC/CVV codes or one-time passwords to confirm transactions.
