The Mufti of Crimea held the first prayer in the Cathedral Mosque

The first prayer was held in the Cathedral Mosque of Crimea, which was conducted by the Mufti of Muslims of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Hadji Emirali Ablaev.
More than 500 believers gathered for the service in the largest mosque in Crimea, including religious leaders, district imams, representatives of local communities, employees of the Muftiate of Crimea, representatives of the general contractor, builders, government officials and public figures.
The head of the Muslims of Crimea addressed his co-religionists, noting the importance of the historical event for all of Russia.
Today is a very joyful day for all Muslims of Crimea and all of Russia. We have been waiting for this event for more than 50 years. Praise be to Allah Almighty, who allowed us to gather in the bright, spacious, beautiful hall of our new and long-awaited Cathedral Mosque, and perform the first prayer. We trust in the Creator so that this mosque will be a place of attraction for every Muslim, and for many centuries will serve for the benefit of the believers of Crimea and beyond. The cathedral mosque is for us a symbol of unity and continuity of generations,” noted the Mufti of Crimea.
Haji Emirali Ablaev, on behalf of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol, thanked for the assistance the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, under whose patronage the Cathedral Mosque is being built, the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov and everyone involved in the festive event.
After the prayer, those present read a dua for the prosperity of the common Motherland, for peace and mutual understanding between all the peoples of Russia.
The date of the official opening of the Cathedral Mosque for parishioners will be known later.
