The “Parental Valor” medal in Crimea will be given to families who raised four or more children
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Not five (or more) as it was before.
In order to improve the award system, parliamentarians supported changes to Article 15 of the Law of the Republic of Crimea “On State Awards of the Republic of Crimea” in two readings. The draft law proposes to establish that the “Parental Valor” medal in Crimea can be awarded to parents (or adoptive parents) who are raising or have raised four or more children. In the current Law, this right was reserved for parents raising five or more children.
According to the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, there are currently 1,949 families with five or more children and 4,486 families with four children living in the Republic.
The change provided for by the draft law will make it possible to encourage a larger number of large families for their significant personal contribution to raising children in the family, for dedication, and for providing conditions for the full development of healthy, harmoniously developed individuals, citizens of the Russian Federation,” emphasized Vladimir Konstantinov.
