The preparation of transport infrastructure for the summer season was discussed in the Crimean Parliament
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Crimean Parliament discussed the preparation of transport infrastructure for the high tourist season. According to the Grand Service Express company (a railway carrier to Crimea), now, in the absence of air traffic, a number of measures have been taken to provide transport for those who wish to come to the peninsula for the upcoming May holidays. In particular, the rolling stock has been doubled, additional trains have been assigned, and plans are being developed to extend them.
In turn, the parliamentarians recommended that the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Crimea, together with the regional Ministry of Resorts and Tourism, send weekly information to the Committee for Tourism, Resorts and Sports of the State Council of Crimea on transport logistics to the peninsula to deliver tourists to places of accommodation (availability of tickets, number of additional trains, wagons ).
The deputies also heard information from the administrations of Yalta, Evpatoria, Feodosia and Alushta about plans to prepare for the summer period in terms of landscaping, preparing beaches, accommodation facilities, organizing public transport, trade facilities and planned cultural events.
Crimea is rhythmically preparing to receive guests, all schedules and plans are being implemented, beach and resort areas are being prepared, the situation with the placement of non-stationary retail facilities is being improved , — said Vadim Volchenko, Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea.
According to him, thanks to the Tavrida art cluster, large-scale recreational facilities appear in Sudak, and Evpatoria, Saki and the Chernomorsky region work according to their plans, and despite some remoteness they get their return tourist.
For their part, the members of the parliamentary committee made a number of proposals regarding the need to organize regular maritime communication between Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, the inadmissibility of increasing the cost of recreation, and a complete inventory of routes in the field of car and motorcycle tourism. Particular attention, in their opinion, should be paid to the organization of additional parking areas to accommodate vehicles near the most visited tourist sites, as well as beaches, in compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, ensuring unhindered passage of road users and eliminating the formation of traffic congestion.
