Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting via videoconference on the situation in the area of the Crimean bridge. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev, Head of Crimea Sergei Aksyonov, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev, Acting Governor of the Kherson Region Vladimir Saldo reported to the Head of State.
Based on the results of a visual inspection of the span supports of the Crimean bridge, it was found that as a result of the terrorist attack, one span of the road part in the direction of Taman was completely destroyed and cannot be restored. Another span — from the second side in the direction of Kerch — was damaged, there was an axial displacement of 70-80 centimeters, but in general it is on a support.
From here — optimistic outlook Marat Khusnullin on the restoration of traffic on the Crimean bridge.
The FSB, the Investigative Committee, and a number of other departments were instructed to look into the incident in detail. I have no doubt that all circumstances will be established. Taking into account the fact that the second terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge is already taking place, I am waiting for specific proposals to improve the security of this strategically important transport facility.— said Vladimir Putin. — On my instructions, a meeting of a special government commission, which includes representatives of regions and federal departments, was held. The bridge has already been restored to rail traffic.
The head of state stressed that now it is important to provide all possible support to people who are in a difficult situation due to the blocking of traffic on the bridge. This applies to both passengers of delayed trains and motorists on the track. In addition, it is necessary to comprehensively assess the damage caused and start restoration work as quickly as possible.
According to the latest information, the mobilization of builders and designers is already underway. In Rostov-on-Don, special facilities are being completed for the assembly of sites for the enlarged assembly of span structures. In the Voronezh region, we have already started manufacturing metal spans.
