The regional stage of the competition “Teacher of the Year in Russia — 2024” has started in Sevastopol

In kindergarten No. 107, the opening ceremony of the regional stage of the All-Russian professional competition “Teacher of the Year in Russia — 2024” took place. It is in this preschool that teacher Anna Afanasenko works, who took first place in the regional stage of the competition last year. The opening ceremony was attended by members of the jury, competitive teachers, and representatives of the organizing committee.

Sevastopol became an active participant in the “Russian Educator of the Year” competition in 2016. During this time, 67 preschool teachers took part in it.

This year, 10 Sevastopol teachers — educators, physical education instructors, music workers — will demonstrate their skills, developed over the years. Participants will have to go through three rounds. The stages are determined by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The first round is in absentia — on the institution’s websites, participants post their online portfolio and business card “I am a teacher.” The second round is full-time and includes two competitive tests: “My pedagogical discovery” and “Pedagogical event with children.” Participants will learn the topic of the lesson and the age group with which they will work in a new institution, and also conduct their own master class for the competitors. By competing, they learn from each other. The most important thing in the competition is the desire to grow, exchange experiences, strive for self-improvement, professional growth, – the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the preschool education department of the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol, Elena Andrus.

During the event, each participant in the competition was introduced and they got to know each other. Also today there was a draw, where each teacher drew his assignment in the competitive test “Pedagogical event with children.”

The winner of the regional stage will be determined in early March. He will represent Sevastopol at the all-Russian level. In 2024, the final of the competition will take place in the Moscow region.
