The roads in Crimea are icy in places. The traffic police asks drivers to be careful
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Crimean traffic police warns citizens about safety measures during worsening weather conditions. The rain turned to snow, and the roads were icy in places and wet snow deposited. Since the morning, several “slippery” accidents have been recorded (in the photo, for example, a “micro-locomotive” on Vernadsky Avenue in Simferopol).
Driver, remember that when you hit a section of a slippery road, it is important not to change the trajectory and speed of movement, avoid sudden maneuvers, and in conditions of poor visibility, use fog lights.
Maintain speed limits and distance. When driving within the boundaries of a populated area, drive your vehicle in advance by reducing the speed before pedestrian crossings and intersections… Drivers who do not have sufficient experience driving a vehicle in difficult weather conditions are better off refusing to travelthe State Traffic Inspectorate reminded.
Another tip for pedestrians. When there is icy conditions, you must use low-slip shoes; when approaching a pedestrian crossing, make sure that the driver of the car sees you and has stopped, as the braking distance may increase in icy conditions.
