The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea reported: in fact Road accident in Alushtain which three people died (previously it was reported about two deaths), a criminal case was initiated.

In connection with the fatal accident that occurred on April 13 on the highway “Border with the Kherson region — Simferopol — Alushta — Yalta”, the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Alushta opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime against a 30-year-old Evpatorian man driving a MAN truck. , provided for in Part 5 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence)— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea

According to the investigation, the truck driver caused a technical malfunction of the vehicle in the form of overheating of the brake pads, as a result of which he allowed the vehicle to move in reverse and collided with a Lada Priora car moving in the same direction towards Yalta, driven by a 41-year-old driver. There were two women born in 1976 and 1957 in the car. As a result of the accident, the driver and passengers of the VAZ car died.

Currently, as part of the criminal case initiated, a number of examinations have been ordered, and the necessary investigative actions are being carried out. The Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea is monitoring the progress of the investigation of this criminal case.
