CrimeaPRESS reports:

In 2024, Crimean farmers expect a harvest of at least 200 tons of berries.

As Alima Zaredinova, Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, said, about a thousand hectares are occupied by berry crops in Crimea, of which 600 hectares are under strawberries (strawberries), including 24 hectares in greenhouses. At the moment in Crimea, the largest areas occupied by this crop are in the Bakhchisarai Dzhankoy, Saki, and Simferopol regions.

The leader in the production of garden strawberries is the Bakhchisarai region. Here is one of the most high-tech greenhouses on the peninsula.

Agricultural producers have begun harvesting strawberries indoors. Garden strawberries are grown in special beds using a drip irrigation system. High quality planting material. To improve the harvest, every year farmers clone seedlings and plant them in greenhouses in August.

Expectations this year are good. In 2024, agricultural producers expect a harvest of at least 200 tons of berries. The farmers’ plans will be fulfilled, since this year the weather conditions are such that the first harvest began almost three weeks earlier and today strawberries are grown en masse in closed ground and will soon ripening in open ground. We hope that this year farmers will be able to harvest no less than last year.noted the acting minister.
