The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea hosted a championship in judicial debate among students

The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea hosted an open championship in judicial debates in criminal cases. The event has already become a good tradition that unites the student community. This year’s debate is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
The event was attended by judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea, teachers of the Faculty of Law of the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky, employees of the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea. Deputy Prosecutor of Crimea Sergei Bulgakov took part in the opening of the debate, and Lev Lazukov, head of the criminal justice department of the prosecutor’s office of the republic, took part in the final stage of the competition.
Employees of the supervisory department noted that the competition, which took place in conditions as close as possible to a real trial, provided future lawyers with a unique opportunity to acquire not only theoretical knowledge, but also to master in practice the techniques of oratory in criminal proceedings— said the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea.
Students participating in the championship had to demonstrate their skills in two rounds and a final, based on the results of which the jury members determined the best teams.
According to the results of the final round, the winner of the All-Russian judicial debates in criminal cases was the team of the Crimean Faculty of the Krasnodar University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
