Residents of the city receive «fake letters» demanding to pay off the debt. E-mails began to receive letters from the “tax authorities” with information about tax debts with a demand to urgently pay it. Fraudsters threaten to seize accounts and property.
Through the direction of such letters, attackers gain access to the personal data of citizens. In no case should you open such letters, you should also not follow links and open attachments. These emails are malicious mailings. After the recipient of the letter «clicks» on the link, he is asked to download a file that contains a virus.
And even more so, you can’t pay fake debt on your own and enter your card details.
It is very easy to distinguish real letters from the tax office. All tax notices of the Federal Tax Service are sent either through «Personal account of the taxpayer for individuals»or by regular mail. Information about the debt is also reflected on the State Services portal.
The department can send e-mails only if the payer himself sent an appeal to the tax service through the official website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia and indicated his e-mail address there to provide a response.
You should be aware that the sender in these letters from the tax department will necessarily indicate a specific tax authority, for example, the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the city of Sevastopol.
If the received letter raises even the slightest doubt, it is necessary to check the data in the Internet service «Personal account of the taxpayer for individuals» on the official website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. You can also check your taxes there.
Recall that you can also clarify the data on the debt in the mobile application «FL taxes”, which is easy to install on a mobile phone by yourself.
Let us clarify that any citizen has the opportunity to connect SMS-informing about debt to a phone or e-mail. To do this, you must contact any tax authority in person or submit an application remotely at «Personal account of the taxpayer for individuals». SMS will come only if there is a debt.
If a citizen is connected to the «Information about debt» service, citizens will either receive emails from the address noreply@fcod.nalog.ru or SMS message from a short number tax.ru.
