The Kerch city court convicted a 28-year-old resident of the city of Kerch for an attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed using information and telecommunication networks (including the Internet), by a group of persons by prior agreement, on a large scale, namely, intentional actions of a person directly aimed at committing a crime, if at the same time the crime was not completed due to circumstances beyond the control of this person.

As established by the court, the defendant entered into a criminal conspiracy with an unidentified person for the purpose of illegally distributing narcotic drugs by equipping hiding places in the city of Kerch of the Republic of Crimea, and in January 2023 in the village of Voykovo, Leninsky district, he dug out a polymer bundle wrapped in red electrical tape from the ground, in which there was a narcotic derivative of N-methylephedron weighing at least 3.278 g. After that, the bundle was transported to the place of his residence in Kerch, he packaged the narcotic drug for at least 16 bundles, which he later placed in the caches he equipped on various streets of the city «. However, to bring his criminal intent aimed at the illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement, on a large scale, to an indefinite circle of persons through the information and telecommunication network «Internet», the defendant was not able to the end, due to circumstances beyond his control, since his actions were suppressed by officers of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kerch— noted in the press service of the court.

The court sentenced the defendant to 5 years and 10 months in prison to be served in a strict regime correctional colony.

The verdict came into force.
