This year, the international action «Garden of Memory» was held in Crimea for the third time.

The activities of the International Action «Garden of Memory» are carried out within the framework of the regional project «Preservation of forests» of the national project «Ecology». 15 seedlings were planted on the territory of the forest fund and municipalities of the Republic of Crimea.

Employees of forestry institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Crimea, as well as institutions subordinate to municipalities, provide constant care for the created plantations. Participation in such actions is aimed at improving the environmental situation in the region. The Ministry of Natural Resources of Crimea calls on citizens to take care of the planted plants and take care of the nature of the peninsula , the press service of the Government of the Republic of Crimea notes.

Reference: The main goal of the action «Garden of Memory» is to perpetuate the memory of everyone who died during the Great Patriotic War. In total — 27 million trees in memory of the 27 millions who died. The event is held on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who personally planted his tree of memory at the Rzhev Memorial.
