Thousands of flowers will bloom in the flowerbeds of Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, they intend to plant thousands of perennial and annual flowering and ornamental plants in the central flower beds of the city.
Already in 2023, in the autumn-winter period, we planted plants. Currently, the “Parks and Squares” institution maintains 52 flower beds in the city, including in areas landscaped under the “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” project. Over the entire year, we plan to plant about 485 thousand plants, of which we planted 150 thousand in greenhouses. To date, 185 thousand flowers have been planted; tulips have already begun to bloom in the central part of the city; daffodils and violas have also been planted. To prepare for the summer period, we will plant about 300 thousand plants; we will form flower beds for the summer after the tulips have faded. We will plant marigolds, begonias, petunias, ageratum, geraniums, – quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol and. O. Deputy Governor Evgeny Gorlov.
The bulbs will be saved for next year and used again, the official said. Also, according to Evgeny Gorlov, members of the governor’s school labor teams also work in the greenhouses.
