On September 16, Crimea will join the All-Russian Running Day “Cross of the Nation”. On the peninsula, the event will be held in Saki and Sevastopol. Anyone who is healthy enough can participate.
As reported by the Crimean Athletics Federation, in Saki About 700 cross-country participants are expected. Depending on the age category, they will have to cover distances of 1 km, 4 km, 6 km, 8 km and 12 km. The two shortest ones are laid along the embankment of Lake Saki, the other three are along the dam across Lake Saki.
In addition, as part of the competition, a race will be held for people with musculoskeletal problems — the Cross Without Borders distance will be 1 km.
Registration of participants will take place on the Saki embankment (behind the Avangard stadium): from 9:00 to 10:00 — for participants in the 6 km, 8 km and 12 km runs, from 10:00 to 11:30 — for those who run at 1 km and 4 km.
The following races start at 10:00: 6 km – girls born in 2004 and younger; at 8 km – women born in 2003 and older, boys born in 2004 and younger; at 12 km – men born in 2003 and older.
“Cross Without Borders” will begin at 12:00. And after 20 minutes, boys and girls born in 2014 and younger will compete at a distance of 1 km.
The last to start is the 4 km race. At 12:30 it will be held for boys and girls born in 2004 and younger, men and women born in 2003 and older.
The grand opening of the All-Russian Running Day will take place in Saki at 11:40 on the lake embankment near the Avangard stadium (Kurortnaya St., 6).
In the Sevastopol «Cross of Nations» will be held in Victory Park. There are also six distances: 500 m, 1 km, 2 km, 3 km, 4 km, 6 km. The gathering place for participants, start and finish is the area near the monument to St. George the Victorious. Registration will begin at 7:00. The grand opening of the event will take place in two hours.
Distribution of participants by distance:
500 m: at 9:30 – girls and boys born in 2014 and younger; at 10:00 – girls born in 2010-2013; at 13:00 – girls and boys with musculoskeletal problems, hearing impairment and intellectual disabilities, without age restrictions.
1 km: at 10:30 – boys born in 2010-2013; at 12:00 – girls born in 2008-2009.
2 km: at 11:00 – everyone.
3 km: at 11:30 – everyone.
4 km: at 12:30 – everyone.
6 km: at 9:40 – everyone.
The award ceremony for the winners of the competition will begin at 13:30.
In addition, participants born in 2006-2007 will be able to meet TRP standards. For this purpose, a testing center for the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” will operate in Victory Park.
Those who have no medical contraindications can take part in the Cross of the Nation. You must have a life and health insurance policy against accidents. You will also need a photocopy of your passport or birth certificate, and a medical certificate of admission.
