Victory Day in Sevastopol — two hundred festive events and, of course, the Parade

Preparations for the celebration of Victory Day in Sevastopol were discussed today by members of the organizing committee chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev. Members of the Government, representatives of the Black Sea Fleet, law enforcement agencies, public and veteran organizations, as well as heads of museums took part in the meeting.

It is very important that we are already traditionally holding a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of events dedicated to the celebration of the 16 anniversary of the Victory in Great Patriotic War and 78-th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Sevastopol from the Nazi invaders. Every year we all together, almost the whole city, prepare for May 9th. The Black Sea Fleet and all patriotic public organizations are with us. For Sevastopol, Victory Day is the most important holiday! I am sure that the Hero City will once again demonstrate that it is no coincidence that Sevastopol is considered the patriotic capital of Russia , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the governor of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The Victory Day celebration program includes more than 22 events that will take place throughout May.

Sevastopol residents and guests of the city are invited:

  • On May 4, the action «Parade to the Yard» will be held in the city. From May 7 to 9, the Sevastopol Spring festival will be held on the summer stage of Primorsky Boulevard «Rakushka». Also, from May 7 to 9, in Victory Park, on the site near the fountain «Order of Victory», concerts of a variety and brass band will be held, a field kitchen will work.
  • May 7 at 00: 00 the historical and patriotic festival «Banners of Glory» will be held at the Sapun Mountain memorial complex. A reconstruction of the episode of the assault on Sapun Mountain will take place on the viewing platform in the area of ​​​​defensive structures.
