In Alushta, an employee of a mobile phone store contacted the police about the theft of a smartphone. A 55-year-old local resident clarified that an unknown man came to the store under the guise of a buyer.

As an example, the consultant showed him her own smartphone. When the victim was distracted, the attacker took the box with her phone from the table and hid it under a cast on his arm, after which he left the crime scene. The amount of damage is more than 13,000 rubles.

Alushta operatives detained a 25-year-old resident of the Krasnodar Territory, suspected of theft, on the territory of Yalta. It turned out that the man had previously been convicted of similar crimes— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Theft). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years.
