Will the “Pushkin House” open in Gurzuf for the poet’s birthday (June 6)? There are doubts
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The opening of the renovated museum, located in Gurzuf, in the house where Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin lived in Crimea with the family of General Raevsky, was originally scheduled for June 6, 2024 — the poet’s birthday. The nuance of the situation is within the framework of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation “On the 225th anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin» provides for the implementation of a set of measures for restoration, repair, equipment and the creation of a new exhibition of the museum. That is, restoration, repair, improvement — not at the “local level”.
The work seemed to be going on continuously. Customer State Autonomous Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Directorate for Centralized Maintenance and Development of Cultural Institutions”, contractor FAU “RosKapStroy”. Financing also went according to plan. For a minute, almost 250 million rubles have been allocated for repair work, and over 30 million more for the re-exposition of the museum.
Nothing foreshadowed a scandal… But the latest message from the press service of the Crimean Ministry of Culture is alarming. We quote:
Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea Tatyana Manezhina, as part of a trip to the village of Gurzuf, visited the cultural heritage site of federal significance “The House in which A.S. Pushkin lived.” The offsite meeting was attended by the heads of the Directorate for Centralized Maintenance and Development of Cultural Institutions Maxim Soroka and the Crimean Literary and Art Memorial Museum-Reserve Larisa Kovalchuk, representatives of contracting organizations and architectural supervision.
The progress of repair and restoration work is reviewed. Currently, facade, interior, painting work, landscaping of the museum territory, and laying of paving stones are being completed.
Existing problematic issues related to delays in the work schedule were discussed, decisions were made to mobilize labor resources and carry out production work in two shifts. Also, in order to prevent delays in the implementation of the project, instructions were given to conduct daily monitoring of the timing and types of work performed.
Judging by the photo of the press service of the Republican Ministry of Culture, work in Gurzuf is in full swing. The façade and interior works are visible… But until June 6… less than two months. And… we are tormented by vague doubts…
