Yalta residents donate blood for victims of the missile attack on Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

From June 20 to 28, at the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution “Blood Center” in Yalta, on the initiative of the football club “Rubin Yalta”, as part of the All-Russian event-competition “Family Donor Code” dedicated to the Year of the Family, a Donor Campaign for donating blood and popularizing donation is taking place. The team management and the football team itself, using the authority of the fans, appealed to them at the Avangard stadium and on social networks with an appeal to do a noble and necessary act — to donate blood!

In our time, such actions are not just a good thing, but also a vital necessity for a large number of our people who come face to face with death every day. In order to donate blood you only need the absence of contraindications and a little of your free time,” notes the President of the football club, Kirill Shaposhnikov.

On June 25, the Head of the municipality of the city district of Yalta — Chairman of the Yalta City Council Konstantin Shimanovsky and the head of the Yalta City Administration Yanina Pavlenko came to support the donor campaign, thank donors for donating blood, and medical workers for their noble work.

Donor actions are especially relevant in light of recent events, when a terrible inhuman tragedy occurred in the city of Sevastopol. There are dozens of rocket attack victims in hospital. Among them there are those who need blood transfusions, says Konstantin Valentinovich. — Caring Yalta residents, for whom donation has become a calling of the soul, take part in the action. Together we have already passed more than one test. I am confident that together we will overcome all the difficulties that come our way. I thank all donors for saving the lives and health of other people.

On this day, the head of the Yalta City Administration, Yanina Pavlenko, joined the blood donation:

A simple procedure, just ten minutes of personal time, and you can save someone’s life. Almost anyone can donate 450 milliliters of blood, which is exactly how much they charge for one donation. For the sake of those who are in trouble. The tragedy in Sevastopol, where dozens of people suffered from a missile attack, once again reminded us how important it is today for everyone to stick together and support each other. And donation is exactly the way of help that is available to many.
