Yalta signed a sister city agreement with Granada

The Russian Yalta and the city of Granada (Nicaragua) signed an agreement on sister city relations; the signing took place as part of the visit of the Crimean delegation to Nicaragua. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko.
This is a significant event for our republic and Russia as a whole. This is the first twinning agreement to be signed between a city in Latin America and a city in Russian Crimea. We can say that Yalta “cut” a window to Latin America. We will be friends, we will help each other like family, and we are ready to enter into new agreements with Latin American cities,” the press service quotes Irina Kiviko.
Irina Kiviko reported that the Crimeans presented a photo exhibition in Granada with views of Yalta and Crimea, which aroused residential interest among Nicaraguans:
We are glad that residents of the sister city of Yalta will see that overseas, in small Crimea, there are people who want to be friends.
In turn, the creative groups of Granada gave a concert at which they demonstrated their dancing and performing skills to the Crimeans.
The signing ceremony was attended by members of the delegation of the Republic of Crimea, as well as the mayor of the city of Granada Rosario Caldera, the vice-mayor of the city of Granada Fernando Rivas, the minister-adviser to the President of the Republic of Nicaragua on technology and production innovation Isidro Rivera, the director of municipal planning of the Nicaraguan Institute of Municipal Development Maritza Rivas , mayors of the municipalities of the city of Granada (Nandaime, Diriomo and Diria), delegates of the government of the city of Granada;
As part of the visit to Nicaragua, the Crimean delegation had meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua Denis Moncada, the mayor of the capital Managua Reina Rueda, the special representative of the President of Nicaragua for the development of relations with Russia Laureano Ortega and other officials.
