Yalta volunteers sew pillows for hospitals
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Another area of activity of the #WeAreTogether headquarters of the City Adolescent and Youth Center and Dobroshveyushki in Yalta is the production of pillows for hospitals. According to the head of the city administration, Yanina Pavlenko, Yalta volunteers are sewing specially shaped pillows. Everything about them is thought out — they don’t budge, they help relieve muscle tension in the neck and whole body. Such pillows are needed during the rehabilitation of the wounded.
The first batch (60 pieces) has already been sent to medical institutions, in the near future there are plans for the next one — 100 more. Rehabilitation pants with Velcro are also sewn, T-shirts and other things are altered according to individual measurements.
Those wishing to join are welcome at Krupskaya, 48. Any help is important — you can participate in the process, or bring material: thick T-shirts from size 54 (for alterations), fabric (rolls, cuts), pillow filling, Velcro tape and fasteners. I thank our volunteer children who help stuff pillows after school, their seamstress mentors, the director of the Center Elena Kirillova and her deputy Karina Bodnya, who do such a necessary jobsaid the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko.
