14 thousand veterans of the Second World War, of which 62 Sevastopol residents received an annual payment on Victory Day

The Social Fund of Russia provided a payment to veterans of the Great Patriotic War dedicated to Victory Day. Festive allowances were received by 14,000 war veterans and invalids who live in Russia and the Baltic states. In Sevastopol, the payment was made to 62 Sevastopol veterans, of which 13 were disabled and 49 veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
The amount of the payment, according to the presidential decree, amounted to 10 thousand rubles. All veterans were automatically assigned the funds in April along with other payments: two pensions, a monthly cash payment (UDV) and additional material support (DEMO). Taking into account these payments, the average income of the participants of the Great Patriotic War through the fund amounted to 60.3 thousand rubles per month today— noted in the press service of the fund.
Recall that the holiday payment on Victory Day is due to the disabled of the Great Patriotic War and those who directly participated in the events of those years, including military personnel, partisans, underground fighters, intelligence officers and counterintelligence officers, defenders of Leningrad.
