In Sevastopol, the police are investigating a criminal case on the theft of equipment from a medical institution The suspects, three local residents aged from 35 to 56 years, have previously been prosecuted , including for similar crimes.
A preliminary investigation established that three residents of Sevastopol made their way to the territory of one of the medical institutions at night, where they stole five dismantled outdoor units of air conditioners, and then disappeared. The attackers sold the stolen equipment to a scrap metal collection point, and spent the proceeds on their own needs. As a result of the measures taken by the district police officers, all participants in illegal activities were detained , — reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
In relation to the defendants, the investigative department of the MIA of Russia for the Leninsky district initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 158 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Theft». The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years.
